his career in quarter midgets and go-karts. Quickly climbing the ladder

began winning races.
His first track championship was captured in 1996 at Charlotte Motor
Speedway's Summer Shootout Series. In 1997, he was crowned
Division Champion at Ace Speedway in Elon, NC. During his junior year
of high school, Labonte competed in the Hooter's Pro Cup Series where
he placed third in the points standings. In 1999 as a senior in high
school, Labonte competed in nine NASCAR Nationwide races, with his best
finish, 14th, at South Carolina's Myrtle Beach Speedway.
Labonte's determination never slowed as he continued to win races and gain experience on a local and national level. With 10 ARCA/Remax series starts from 2000-2003, Labonte's best finish was 2nd at Atlanta in 2000. In 2003, Labonte was crowned NASCAR's Dodge Weekly Racing Series Track Champion at Caraway Speedway.
In 2004, Labonte competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driving the family
owned Dodge, sponsored by The United States Coast Guard. While driving a
limited schedule on a limited budget, Labonte's most coveted accomplishment
came at Chicagoland Speedway, where he won the Tropicana Twister 300. The
feat lead to a full sponsorship in the Nationwide Series in 2005, where Labonte
had two top 10 finishes and ended the year 17th in points. And in 2007
Labonte made two starts in the NASCAR Camping World Series in Darrell
Waltrip's Lucky Dog Toyota. His best finish was 12th at Martinsville Speedway.
Labonte has taken a different path these past couple of years and ventured
away from the asphalt in 2007 and 2008. Expanding his talent and gaining a
more diverse career. He took to the local dirt late model scene, competing in
Lucas Oil, Carolina Clash and World of Outlaw series races. In 2010 he
